Areas of Care

Services

Ancestral Hands offers individualized birthwork, therapeutic bodywork, and community care for people navigating fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, reproductive loss, and other reproductive transitions; their caregivers and support people; and individuals living with chronic pain or persistent musculoskeletal dysfunction.

Care is rooted in reproductive justice, trauma-informed practice, ongoing consent, and respect for each person's autonomy, wisdom, and lived experience.

An Intentionally Focused Practice

Because this work is attentive, relational, and highly individualized, my books are intentionally limited. Maintaining a smaller private caseload allows me to give each care relationship the time, presence, and thoughtful planning it deserves.

All new private-care relationships begin with a consultation. Together, we will explore your needs, determine whether the practice is a good fit, and collaboratively develop a plan of support.

Full-spectrum birthwork and reproductive support

Full-Spectrum Birthwork & Reproductive Support

Full-spectrum birthwork recognizes that reproductive experiences extend beyond pregnancy and birth. Support is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and shaped around your values, needs, and reproductive experience.

Support may include

Fertility, pregnancy, and reproductive care planning
Birth doula support
Postpartum support
Reproductive loss and transition support
Infant massage instruction and caregiver education

These are examples of support that may be incorporated into an individualized care plan rather than separately selected services.

Therapeutic Bodywork

As a licensed massage therapist and Certified Neuromuscular Therapist, I provide therapeutic and clinically focused bodywork informed by neuromuscular techniques, trigger-point work, prenatal and postpartum care, and abdominal work, with attention to muscular patterns associated with pelvic discomfort or dysfunction.

Sessions may also incorporate somatic awareness, grounding, breath, supportive positioning, and consent-based touch. These practices may support comfort, mobility, rest, nervous system regulation, recovery, reconnection with the body, and a greater felt sense of safety. Each session is shaped collaboratively around your needs, comfort, and care goals.

Bodywork may support

  • Fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and other reproductive transitions
  • Abdominal and pelvic discomfort, muscular tension, and related musculoskeletal concerns
  • Chronic pain, mobility, rest, and physical recovery
  • Reconnection following loss, stress, significant change, or the demands of caregiving

Massage therapy is provided within my licensed scope of practice and does not replace medical care, pelvic-floor physical therapy, mental health care, or other clinical treatment when those services are needed.

Professional Boundaries & Safety

Ancestral Hands provides professional, therapeutic, and clinically focused bodywork. Erotic or sexual services, sexualized touch, and "happy endings" are not offered or permitted under any circumstances.

Sexual comments, requests, intentional exposure, unwanted contact, harassment, or other inappropriate behavior will end the session immediately and may result in refusal of future services. Consent, appropriate draping, and professional boundaries are maintained throughout every session.

Community care and education gathering

Community Care & Education

Community care extends this work beyond private sessions through classes, workshops, circles, and collective learning spaces. Offerings may include herbal and reproductive-care education, infant massage instruction, restorative and embodied practices, practitioner education, and community care circles.

Offerings may be created for families, caregivers, doulas, birthworkers, and reproductive-care practitioners. Current opportunities are listed on the Classes & Events page.

Ways to Begin

Private, individualized care begins with a consultation. Classes, workshops, and community offerings can be explored directly through the Classes & Events page.

Because private-care books are intentionally limited, consultation availability may vary.
